ALBANY – New York State’s arts and cultural industries infuse more than $110 billion dollars in the state’s economy, according to a report out by the Federal Government.
Specifically, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis and the National Endowment for the Arts found that arts and cultural industries employ more than nearly half-million people and are responsible for nearly a half-billion dollars in salary.
According to the research, the state’s economic impact from those industries accounts for 15 percent of the total $760 billion generated by the arts nationwide.
