JAMESTOWN – A businessman who was caught with more than four ounces of cocaine in a multi-agency raid last year, will spend the next several years of his life in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Buffalo.
“He was convicted and sentenced to 48 months in prison, said Barbara Burns, Public Affairs Officer, United States Attorney’s Office, when reached by email.
Odessin McBride, 38, was arrested when local and federal drug agents raided his Sampson Street residence last May.
McBride was charged with second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Inside of the residence, investigators found 130 grams of cocaine and 25 grams of crack cocaine, as well as of cash, drug paraphernalia, and a set of brass knuckles.
A four-year-old child was also inside of the residence.
Police also recovered four digital scales and a shrink-wrapping machine in the kitchen.
An advanced search of the property revealed drugs and packaging equipment buried in the backyard.
The search warrant was executed by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Jamestown Police turned Mcbride over to feds last May in hopes of securing a stiffer sentence.

That’s it? 4 years? This criminal has sold drugs in Jamestown his life. His entire life. He’s been a nuisance and a danger to the public. So our lousy DA probably botched this one too. Another liberal sentence. So in 2-3 years this guy will be on parole and back in town selling his drugs. Thanks! And what about his girlfriend? She sells drugs too. yall wouldnt be talking all that hot shit if yall priveledged assholes had to live one day in our shoes u talk about justice and all that well here is some justice a 10 yr old boy brought me a 50 bag of crack back in july of 06 i went ballistic and ran up in that house with a shotgun i got 6yrs in prison for tryin to protect this child from poison it was a wbiteboy that gave that shit to that child oh not to mention i am a honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army so ur justice system decided that i deserved 6 yrs in prison for my actions now i am homeless i lost all rights to my children i cant get a job because of a violent felony my life is ruined for what? Futhermore the real kick in the dick is the 10 yr old boy is now a grown man and a junkie so i ruined .y life for nothing and in turn lost everything so fuck ur justice system
