JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police said they are investigating two separate stabbings that occurred late Saturday and early Sunday in the city.
Police said the first stabbing occurred at around 11:30 p.m. at an unknown location Saturday evening. The victim was brought into UPMC Chautauqua by a private citizen for treatment while the citizen remained in the vehicle.
Police believe the victim was stabbed in the arm by an unknown suspect who walked up to the victim as he sat in his parked car.
The second report of a stabbing occurred when the victim went to a residence on West Eighth Street in Jamestown after being stabbed at another unknown location, according to JPD.
The victim was taken to UPMC Chautauqua via Alstar Ambulance where he was treated for a stab wound to the back. Victims in both incidents are being uncooperative and exact locations and circumstances of the incidents are not known.
Police believe that both stabbing victims were specifically targeted and they were not random acts of violence. Injuries to both victims are not considered life threatening and the incidents do not appear to be related.
