New York Attorney General Resigns Amid Multiple Allegations Of Physical Abuse

ALBANY – In less than a day, New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman resigned amid allegations of hitting and choking women during sexual encounters.
Multiple sources say Schneiderman tendered his resignation hours after The New Yorker broke the story.
Four women allege he was physically violent with them during consensual sex.
Schneiderman, long touted as a strong leader against domestic abuse has resigned effective at the end of business Tuesday.
The Attorney General’s statement was emailed to WNYNewsNow late Monday night.

STATEMENT BY ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC T. SCHNEIDERMAN

“It’s been my great honor and privilege to serve as Attorney General for the people of the State of New York. In the last several hours, serious allegations, which I strongly contest, have been made against me. While these allegations are unrelated to my professional conduct or the operations of the office, they will effectively prevent me from leading the office’s work at this critical time. I therefore resign my office, effective at the close of business on May 8, 2018.”

  1. I knew something was up when Trump name dropped him in a tweet yesterday evening saying “Is he a crook? Wait and see!” I love the great job our President is doing by draining the swamp of corrupt & crooked politicians throughout government that have been operating like drug kin pins for years by abusing their power to pleasure themselves and get rich!! It is an embarrassment what 8 years under Obama did for the image of the US on the World Stage, he made the US look so weak for so long that other countries were seeing the US in a different way, a very scary way. Weak, they saw us as weak, spread out, unorganized, and without direction, willing to pay off any problem(Iran) that arose rather than confront them head on now and saving the World one hell of a problem in the coming future. I can finally sleep safe at night knowing Trump has my back.
