Bills Suffer Last Minute Heartbreaker Against The Jets

ORCHARD PARK – The Buffalo Bills (4-9), have fallen into a tie for last place with the New York Jets (4-9), after losing to them, 27-23, Sunday at New Era Field.  
Buffalo had a 17-6 lead in the second quarter before collapsing.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen went 18-36 passing for 206 yards, and two interceptions. Allen, however, also rushed for a game-high 101 yards and a touchdown, becoming the first quarterback in the Super Bowl Era to rush for at least 100 yards in back-to-back games.
LeSean McCoy left the game early in the first half with a hamstring injury and did not return, finishing his afternoon with a single yard on two carries.
Stephen Hauschka missed two field goals. Hauschka’s 49-yard field-goal attempt before halftime was blocked, and a 54-yard attempt was a knuckle ball kick that sailed wide left.
Hauschka has missed three field goals in the last two games after making 17 in a row.
Hauschka also played hurt after taking a hit after the blocked kick.
Robert Foster lead Buffalo’s receiving corps with seven receptions for 104 yards.
Isaiah McKenzie caught four passes for 47 yards.  McKenzie also added 22 yards rushing on four carries and a touchdown.
Tremaine Edmunds finished with eight total tackles. Edmunds also recorded his first career interception.
Matt Milano finished with six tackles before being carted off the field late in the game with a foot injury.
The Bills defense failed to register a sack, but forced two turnovers.
After exiting early in the game briefly due to a foot injury, Jets quarterback Sam Darnold returned the next offensive series and finished 16-24 passing for 170 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
Elijah McGuire led the Jets with 60 rushing yards. McGuire also ran for the game-winning touchdown with 1:17 left in regulation.
Robby Anderson caught four passes for 76 yards, and a touchdown.
Andre Roberts returned five kickoffs for 186 yards.
Morris Claiborne led the Jets defense with eight tackles.
Neville Hewitt added seven tackles.
Trumaine Johnson finished with three tackles, and intercepted Allen twice.
The Jets defense also sacked Allen three times.
Buffalo will remain at home for next Sunday as they will host the Detroit Lions.
Kick off will be at 1 p.m. on FOX.
