Buffalo Bills Depart Lambeau Field Empty Handed

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers hand the Buffalo Bills their first shutout loss in a decade.
The Buffalo Bills had themselves a very rough showing at Lambeau Field on Sunday, losing to the Green Bay Packers 22-0 for their first shutout loss since their 13-0 loss to Matt Cassell and the New England Patriots in their final game of the 2008 NFL season.
Josh Allen struggled the entire game completing 16-33 passes for only 151 yards and two interceptions.
To rub salt into the wound, Allen was also sacked seven times by the tough Packers defense.
Despite the loss, the Bills defense still held their ground the best they could, sacking Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers twice.
Bills safety Jordan Poyer added an interception and the defensive line forced and recovered a fumble. Despite those turnovers, the Bills offense was held to 209 yards of total offense and were unable to take advantage of Packer miscues.
Aaron Rodgers had an acceptable game under center for the Packers, completing 22-40 passes for 298 yards and one touchdown pass to tight end Jimmy Graham, which was his very first touchdown reception as a Packer, and the 70th of his career.
Running back Aaron Jones sweetened the deal with 65 yards rushing on 11 carries, adding a touchdown run.
On the Packers defense, outside linebacker Kyler Fackrell finished with four tackles, three of them were quarterback sacks. Inside linebacker Blake Martinez finished with a team leading nine tackles and one sack. Cornerback Jaire Alexander and safety Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix each intercepted a pass for their secondary.
With the win, the Packers improve their record to 2-1-1.
The Buffalo Bills continue their offensive woes, falling to 1-3. Buffalo will return home next week on Sunday, October 7th to take on the Tennessee Titans. The game is at 1:00 on CBS.

  1. It was still a good learning match for Tremaine Edmunds and Josh Allen’s units and hopefully if they can stay healthy I believe they’ll only improve in the NFL.
