Tops Markets Officially Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

WILLIAMSVILLE – Tops Markets has announced plans to financially restructure its business under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
Tops Friendly Markets CEO Frank Curci in a statement said there will be no impact on day-to-day operations at its stores.
The statement said: “Tops stores across the Company’s portfolio in Upstate New York, Northern Pennsylvania and Vermont are continuing to serve customers with no impact to day-to-day operations. The Company fully expects operations to continue as normal during its financial restructuring process.”
Tops has setup a website where customers can ask addition questions regarding the filing.
The grocery chain has filed several court motions to continue to support its business operations during the restructuring process.
They said they will continue to pay employee wages and benefits without interruption.
