Western New York Big Lots Stores Undergoing Big Changes

JAMESTOWN – The Brooklyn Square Big Lots’s store is getting a face lift part of a remodel that will cost the company nearly one million dollars.
Manager Brandon Krieger told WNYNewsNow on Monday the changes are part of a new company initiative dubbed “the store of the future.”
“The entire back room, the floor setup and the front end are all changing,” said Krieger. “It will be a whole new brand, new idea of what Big Lots is; it is not just a buy out store anymore.”
Construction crews will be working overnight so shoppers should not be inconvenienced.
A temporary warehouse was setup on the corner of Dow and Allen Streets in the Town of Ellicott to hold the new “fixtures”, shelves and displays, that will be in the revitalized stores.

Krieger said all the stores in Western New York are undergoing changes.
The construction is expected to be complete by mid-July.
