ERIE, PA – Chautauqua County’s Emergency Services Director is recovering Monday after undergoing a medical emergency over the weekend.
County Executive George Borrello said Director John Griffith was taken Sunday to UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital for stabilization before being transported to UPMC Hamot in Erie PA, as first reported by WDOE News.
Borrello told WNYNewsNow Monday that Griffith is in “good” condition. The executive hopes for a speedy recovery. He said his thoughts and prayers are with Griffith and his family.
The county’s Deputy Fire Coordinator Scott Cummings will head the department until Griffith’s return.
