“We have collected canned goods for St. Susan’s Center for several years so we wanted to continue our tradition,” Fletcher Elementary School Principal Maria DeJoy, said. “We decided to add to the tradition by holding our Turkey Trot. It was a great way for everyone to get together, go outside, exercise and enjoy the surroundings around our school campus.”
“We filled one-fourth of the truck floor with food and it took us four trips to put all the food in the truck for St. Susan’s Center. Our students were very excited to play a part in giving back to their community. Thanksgiving always brings out this generous spirit in all of our students and staff.”
