JAMESTOWN – The City of Jamestown’s Board of Public Utilities won best theme entry in this year’s Christmas Parade, according to a post on the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation’s Facebook page.
The float dubbed ‘Willy Wonka Candyland’ featured Oompa Loompa’s, Willy Wonka Candy Bars and many BPU Workers.
Also receiving an award was UPMC Chautauqua Hospital for the best civic/nonprofit entry. The best business entry award went to WCA Services Corporation (Alstar Ambulance Service and Starflight).
The parade was sponsored by The Resource Center. The Jamestown Renaissance Corporation said they will release more winners today on their Facebook Page.

I’m sure that it is the best float in the parade since it was paid for by the taxpayers oh, and the people we have to pay very high electric bills. Buy a company that will shut your electric off we’re not paying $5 if it’s not paid on time. BPU is nothing more than a horrible company that harasses the landlords and its customers on a regular basis.
