JAMESTOWN-Mayor Sam Teresi said Friday he’s worried the online shopping market could have a negative effect on local economies like Downtown Jamestown.
Teresi, during a gathering of multiple small business owners at Lander’s Men’s Store on N. Main St., said people should try to buy local for goods as online purchases tend to “flush money down the sewer leading out of our town.”
Multimedia Journalist Justin Gould filed his own report detailing Teresi’s for Small Business Saturday throughout the city.
