8-Year-Old Calls For Help After Overdoses, Police Say

JAMESTOWN-An 8-year-old called 911 after witnessing two overdoses Sunday afternoon according to Jamestown Police.

Emergency personnel responded to 601 Lafayette St. where, inside, they say they found two people unresponsive on the floor.

EMTs administered Narcan to Kelly Sherlock, 30, and Luis Garcia, 45, both of Jamestown.

The duo regained consciousness before they were taken to UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital.

Both were taken into custody and committed to Chautauqua County Jail on Endangering the Welfare of a Child charges.

The child, who called 911, was uninjured and turned over to a family member.

  1. That poor child. Children should not be subjected to this. I am so glad that CPS is involved.
