Accident Leads To Felony DWI Charge

SOUTH VALLEY – On Saturday, New York State Police responded to a report of a car in a ditch on Gurnsey Hollow Road. Troopers found Robert Geddes, 35, of Cheektowaga, at the scene and charged him with Felony Driving While Intoxicated.
Geddes was transported to SP Jamestown where police said he refused to provide a breath sample. A check of Geddes’ driving history revealed a DWI conviction within the preceding 10 years and the charge was upgraded to a felony. Geddes was processed, issued tickets returnable to the town of South Valley Court and released. Geddes is scheduled to appear in the town of South Valley Court on a later date.  Geddes was uninjured in the accident.
