Anonymous Tip Leads Jamestown Police To Arrest Five

JAMESTOWN – Four Jamestown residents and one Randolph resident face multiple charges after being arrested by Jamestown Police during a warrant check at 706 Cherry St., Wednesday afternoon.

City police responded to the address based on an anonymous tip that a wanted person was inside the apartment. Police contacted David Cooper, 34, and Brian Cessna, 57, outside the home. Police said Cooper had outstanding warrants for two counts of felony second-degree possession of a forged instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Cessna also had outstanding warrants for two felony counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and two counts of fifth-degree possession of stolen property. Cessna was also charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Upon further investigation, police found Skye Ryder, 31, and Jennifer Cejka, 33, at the home. Police said they were wanted on charged of felony fourth-degree possession of stolen property and third-degree identity theft. Police also found Curtis Frink, 28, of Randolph. Police said Frink gave a false name and birth date to officers. Police said he had outstanding warrants with city police and Lakewood-Busti police. He was charged with second-degree criminal possession and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance.

All five were transported to the city jail. Cooper, Cessna, Ryder and Cejka were jailed without bail and are set for preliminary hearings Monday. Frink was arraigned and bail was set as $1,000 cash or $2,000 property bond. His hearing was adjourned to Jan. 4.
