Area Man Faces Numerous Drug Charges In Busti, Jamestown

BUSTI – Christopher Light, the 37-year-old man arrested Monday night following a Jamestown traffic stop, will be arraigned on different charges in the Town of Busti Tuesday after he’s processed on the Jamestown charges according to the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
Members of the Lakewood-Busti Police Department, Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Sheriff’s SWAT team executed a search warrant at 463 Pine Ridge Rd. November 15, 2017.  Light reportedly wasn’t present during the raid.
During the course of the search, members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force reportedly seized a quantity of marijuana, a loaded Glock handgun, multiple loaded high capacity handgun magazines, a high powered rifle, two shotguns, growing marijuana and the elements of a methamphetamine lab.
Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued by the Town of Busti Court, initially charging Light with 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon and 3rd degree criminal possession of marijuana. Light will additionally be charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, unlawfully growing cannabis and 3rd degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Light was charged by the Jamestown Police Department with 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance due to the alleged seizure of brass knuckles, methamphetamine and suboxone in the traffic stop.
