ROCHESTER – A Rochester trio is facing charges after police say a nine-month-old needed Narcan after swallowing a bag of heroin.
The child’s mother, Angeline DeJesus, 21, as well as Edaliz Torres, 48, and Bartolomeo Blackburn, 67, are charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Torres and Blackburn are also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Police responded to Roycroft Drive in Rochester Sunday afternoon for a report of a nine-month-old boy who was not breathing and not awake.
First responders report they gave the baby CPR and were able to clear the child’s airway of a Ziploc-styled bag of heroin.
He was then rushed to the hospital where official administered a dose of Narcan.
