UPDATE: Sheriff Joe Gerace told WNYNewsNow through text Hannold’s arrest in August was part of the investigation.
BEMUS POINT-A village man was recently indicted federally after a methamphetamine investigation, leading to a Thursday afternoon arrest at his residence according to the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
Gary L. Hannold, 41, 4933 Ellery Centralia Rd., was reportedly discovered with over 680 grams (approx. 1.5 lbs) of methamphetamine during an investigation involving the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Hannold was indicted on a charge of Unlawfully Possessing with Intent to Distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
Hannold was transported to County Jail without bail pending a future arraignment in federal court.
Not surprised at all. Good to see that the local law enforcement is finally doing something about this drug problem here locally.
