Bemus Point Man Arrested With “Large” Quantity Of Meth

SHERMAN-A Bemus Point man was caught with a large quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana during a motorcycle stop Friday morning on Park St. according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Gary L. Hannold II, 41, 4933 Ellery Centralia Rd., reportedly hopped off his bike and threw a bag containing the drugs and drug paraphernalia into an area of weeds.

Hannold was charged with 2nd and 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia and 4th degree Criminal Possession of Marijuana.

Hannold was remanded to County Jail without bail.
