MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, continuing its Independence Day holiday crackdown on drinking and driving, made multiple arrests Sunday morning.
Roger K French Jr., 44, of Conneaut, Ohio, was charged with driving while intoxicated, and driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or more and speeding after deputies stopped him at 1:29 a.m. Sunday on Rt. 430 in Ellery. He was given tickets and is to face his charges in Town of Ellery Court at a later date.
Jeffery M. Volgyes, 46, of Erie, Pa., was charged with DWI, DWI per se, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign after police stopped him at 2:19 a.m. on Route 426 in the Town of Mina. He is to appear in Town of Mina Court at a later date.
Christopher A, Marker, 33, of Frewsburg, was charged with felony DWI, aggravated DWI, driving without an interlock device, failure to keep right, speeding and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after deputies stopped him at 2:21 a.m. Sunday on the Bemus-Ellery Road in the town of Ellery. He was to be arraigned in Town of Ellery Court.
Jason P. Altman, 20, of Forestville, was charged with DWI and DWI per se after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle in a business parking lot at 2:50 a.m., Sunday, in Irving. Altman is to be in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date.
Timothy S. Troutman, 58, of Erie, Pa., was charged with felony DWI, DWI per se, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation, speeding and failure to keep right. Deputies stopped Troutman at 5:07 a.m. Sunday on West Chautauqua Street in the town of Chautauqua. He was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
