LAKEWOOD – A Jamestown man allegedly led officers on a high-speed chase that reached speeds of 90 MPH on Fairmount Avenue last Thursday, according to the Lakewood-Busti Police Department.
Police said they attempted to pull over Tyler N. Tedesco, 22, when they realized he was driving a car that was reported stolen the previous day. Tedesco was finally stopped in the Town of Ellicott.
Tedesco’s girlfriend and three-year-old child were reportedly in the car during the chase. Tedesco was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property, unlawful fleeing a police officer, endangering the welfare of a child, reckless driving, unlicensed operator and speed in zone.
Tedesco was briefly held in Chautauqua County Jail before being released.
