City Man Allegedly Threatens Woman With Knife During Domestic Dispute

JAMESTOWN – A city man allegedly threatened a woman with a knife and applied pressure to her neck while on top of her during a dispute Tuesday at 222 Winsor St. Upper Apt., according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Investigation revealed a valid order of protection was placed against the suspect, Robert L. Barr Jr., 45, stating he was to stay away from the location.
Barr was arrested and charged with 1st degree menacing, 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon, first degree burglary, two counts of aggravated family offense, 2nd degree criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and 2nd degree unlawful imprisonment.
Barr was remanded to county jail with a bail over $100,000 per the county sheriff’s office.
