City Man Busted With Cocaine, Marijuana After Allegedly Driving Recklessly

JAMESTOWN-A city man faces drug and alcohol charges after he possessed cocaine and marijuana while driving recklessly in the area of Barrett and Newland Aves. Sunday according to city police.

Dale Linkous, 18, allegedly struck a curb before police attempted a traffic stop. Linkous reportedly proceeded to rev his engine while spinning his tires.

Linkous was taken into custody after backup arrived. Police discovered his possible involvement in two hit-and-runs, one in which he allegedly struck a building.

Linkous was arraigned Sunday on charges of DWI, 3rd degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and numerous Vehicle and Traffic violations.
