JAMESTOWN – A city man is being held in the city jail pending arraignment after allegedly injuring a woman during a domestic incident, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Claude T. Wine Jr., 23, of Jamestown, was charged by city police with third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Police said they responded to the intersection of South Main Street and Prather Avenue shortly after 11:30 p.m. Thursday on a report of an injured female. Police said the victim had a facial injury and had also been restrained by Wine to keep her from seeking help.
Wine was apprehended without incident on Broadhead Ave. He was remanded to the jail pending arraignment.
