City Man Charged With Assault In Child Abuse Investigation

JAMESTOWN – A city man is accused of assaulting a two-month-old child according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Police say they responded to 98 Myrtle St. Tuesday morning for a possible child abuse complaint. An investigation revealed the child was already taken to UPMC Chautauqua WCA with “serious” injuries.

The infant was initially treated locally before being transferred to Buffalo Childrens Hospital per City Police. The child is reportedly listed in “very serious condition.”

Thirty-year-old Rory S. Davis, Jr. was charged with 2nd degree assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held pending arraignment on the charges.
