JAMESTOWN – James R. Houser, 42, of 38 Barrows St., allegedly jumped from a first floor window during a warrant check, according to Jamestown Police.
Police went to a Barrows Street address around noon Sunday to conduct a warrant check and saw Houser jump through the window. He was quickly apprehended and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and a family offense. He had, according to police, a protection order to stay away from the address and the person living there. Police said Houser had previously been convicted of violating a protection order in the past five years.
Houser was remanded to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
