Dunkirk Man Accused Of Striking Man With Bullet

SILVER CREEK-A Dunkirk man was arrested Sunday after he discharged his .22-long range rifle in close proximity to other individuals, striking a man the previous evening according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Russell C. Genovese Jr., 28, was charged with 1st degree Reckless Endangerment and 4th degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He is in county jail without bail.

The victim reportedly sustained “non-life threatening injuries.”
