Jamestown-based New York State Police said Ronald Eddy, 65, of Falconer, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for an alleged traffic violation.
Troopers said Eddy exited the vehicle and attempted to prevent the Trooper from speaking with the driver. Eddy refused multiple instructions to cease his conduct, continuing to act belligerent and interfere with the traffic stop, at which point the Trooper attempted to arrest him, according to police.
Eddy physically resisted being handcuffed but was eventually taken into custody, police said.
Eddy was processed at SP Jamestown, arraigned in the town of Ellicott Court and released on his own recognizance to appear in the town of Ellicott Court. The driver was issued a traffic ticket.
