Foot Chase Lands City Man Behind Bars

JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man allegedly fled on foot from Jamestown Police officers during a routine street check at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Broadhead Avenue and Kidder Street.
Police said they were attempting a street check of a suspicious male in the area and Justin B. Traver, 37, ran when police identified themselves. Officers gave chase and apprehended Traver after a short distance.
Traver was charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and was remanded to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
