Former County Home Administrator Charged With Groping Women

SALAMANCA – The former long-time administrator of the Chautauqua County Nursing Home in Dunkirk, Timothy E. Hellwig, 60, has been charged by the Salamanca Police Department with three counts of third-degree sexual abuse, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
Hellwig was charged after allegedly groping women at Friday’s Toby Keith and Trace Adkins concert at the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca. Police said Hellwig allegedly groped three women during the outdoor concert.
Hellwig was also the Cattaraugus County nursing homes director before resigning in February after he reportedly failed to notify county officials of a New York State Attorney General’s Office investigation into the death of a county nursing home resident.
Hellwig was the longtime administrator of the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk.
