FREWSBURG – A Frewsburg man was hit with multiple charges after allegedly attempting to flee Town of Carroll Police after he drove off the road and almost hit a guard rail, police said.
At 6:52 p.m., Tuesday, on Ivory Road, Daniel T. Carlson, 45, almost drove into a guard rail, slowed down and failed to yield to sirens and lights for about a half mile, according to police.
Once stopped, police detected the smell of marijuana and searched the vehicle. Police said they found a large amount of marijuana, several plastic baggies, a glass pipe, digital scale, a large amount of cash, and what appeared to be a receipt for the sale of marijuana. All evidence and money was seized.
Carlson was charged with fifth-degree possession of marijuana, second degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, failure to comply with a lawful order and unsafe lane change. He was arraigned in Town of Carroll Court and released. He is due in Town of Carroll Court at a later date.
