JAMESTOWN – A video of a man being attacked by a hammer-wielding woman has been obtained by WNYNewsNow.
Jamestown Police charged Jodi L. Semanovich, 31, of Jamestown with second-degree assault and third-degree possession of a weapon after she allegedly attacked a man about 9 p.m. Wednesday on Sumner Place near East Eighth Street.
Semanovich is in custody in the Chautauqua County Jail. The victim is reported to have sustained minor injuries.

In January of 2015, police reported that Semanovich allegedly charged a Westfield police officer with a knife and a hammer.
When Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to assist Westfield Police, they shot Semanovich with a taser as she allegedly attacked their vehicle with the hammer.
According to sheriff.us Semanovich is currently in Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

  1. Sounds like some serious mental health issues. It’s not normal to go after people with a hammer.

  2. That’s meth at it’s finest. This is what methamphetamines has done to this town & many more like it. The courts keep looking them up for a month or so, which does nothing for their future. These addicts need rehabilitation, skills training, & counseling to make them productive members of society. They need to be shown a different way of living their life, that there is hope and a future for them. They are worth more than the way they treat themselves.

  3. She’s my friends daughter and no she is not on meth. Hate when people jump straight to that assumption. She actually has a mental problem. When she forgets to take her meds, she sometimes loses control. Not everyone that makes bad choices is on meth, crack or whatever. Sometimes it’s a lack of a drug prescribed to that person for an illness they did not ask for. She is actually a really nice and likable person.
