Jamestown Man Allegedly Attacked Woman With Knife Before Standoff

JAMESTOWN – Nicholas C. Brown, 28, of 22 Spring St. Ext., Jamestown, the suspect in Sunday’s lengthy standoff at that address, allegedly attacked a female in the street with a box cutter knife, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
The female was reportedly able to get away from Brown and, when police arrived, Brown allegedly barricaded himself into the upper apartment with the female’s nine-year-old child. Police Captain Robert Samuelson told WNYNewsNow that the female is Brown’s girlfriend, and that the child is her son.

Brown is charged with second-degree menacing, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, and obstructing governmental administration.
