Jamestown Man Allegedly Flees From Police

ELLICOTT – A Jamestown man allegedly fled from officers after they pulled him over on Fairmount Avenue Tuesday afternoon, according to the Ellicott Police Department.
Armando Rosario, 36, also allegedly falsified his name and date of birth before fleeing. Rosario was tracked and located by New York State Police’s K-9 unit who, along with Lakewood-Busti Police, assisted.
Rosario allegedly attempted to flee from the K-9, but was unsuccessful. He was arrested and taken to UPMC for his injuries.
Authorities say Rosario was wanted in Warren County. He also reportedly had a valid order of protection to stay away from a protected party he was with at the time of the stop.
Rosario was charged with false impersonation, second-degree criminal contempt, fugitive from justice, resisting arrest, and obstruction of governmental administration. He was arraigned in the Town of Ellicott Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
