Jamestown Man Allegedly Steals Firearm During Domestic Dispute

JAMESTOWN – Brantley D. Churchill, 28, of Jamestown, allegedly stole a firearm belonging to the victim of a reported domestic dispute at 12 Arnold St. early Saturday morning, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Churchill allegedly damaged the victim’s property during the dispute, and prevented the victim from leaving the residence. Churchill left the scene but was located at a McKinley Avenue residence, according to police.
Authorities said they recovered the stolen weapon from the McKinley Avenue residence.
Churchhill is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
He is currently in Chautauqua County Jail without bail, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office inmate list.
