Jamestown Man Charged With Disobeying Police Commands

JAMESTOWN- Police became involved in an altercation early Monday morning while trying to make an arrest. The incident is just one of many challenges JPD faces in the effort to combat crime in a city that’s undergoing a significant demographic shift.

The suspect, Daniel Graham, 28, is accused of failing to comply with law enforcement as officers attempted to break up a fight Monday morning at 105 Fulton St. according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Graham was charged with Disorderly Conduct and 2nd degree Obstructing Governmental Administration. Graham is in city jail awaiting arraignment.

Graham’s incident was the latest example in which a citizen demonstrated a lack of respect towards law enforcement. Three people were accused of disrupting JPD’s investigation at 853 Prendergast Ave. during a raid last Thursday.

The following were charged with Disorderly Conduct: Elieen Rodriguez, 20, Hector Montanez, 31, and Duane R. Sikes, 47. Elieen Rodriguez was also charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Government Administration.
