Jamestown Man Pleads Guilty To Robbing Bank

MAYVILLE – Jamestown native Albert Chapman, charged in connection with the June robbery of Community Bank in Ellicott, plead guilty to third-degree robbery Thursday in Chautauqua County Court.

Judge David Foley sentenced Chapman to an indeterminate sentence of three-and-a-half years to seven years in state prison.

Chapman, who is also accused of trying to rob a Kwik Fill in Jamestown, still faces a first-degree attempted robbery charge.

Chapman will have a conference to discuss the attempted robbery charge on Feb. 25 at 1:30 in front of Judge Foley.

Chapman is being represented by the Chautauqua County Public Defender’s Office.
