Jamestown Man Will Spend Half A Year In Prison On A Federal Weapons Charge

BUFFALO-A Jamestown man who was convicted of unlawfully possessing firearms will serve time in a federal prison.

Raymond VanBuskirk, 45, was sentenced to six months behind bars Thursday after pleading guilty to the charges last September.

Prosecutors said VanBuskirk moved two rifles, one shotgun and over one thousand rounds of ammo from his home to another location in June 2016.

Since VanBuskirk had a prior felony conviction for the sale of a controlled substance he was prohibited from possessing those firearms.
