JAMESTOWN-WNYNewsNow obtained statistics from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force Wednesday regarding the specific drugs seized between 2014-16.

  • Heroin 1,100 bags (3.8 Lbs)

  • Marijuana 34.09 kilos (75 lbs)
  • Methamphetamine 4.9 kilos (10.78 lbs)
  • Asset Forfeiture (Cash)  $150,965

2015

  • 86 Search Warrants
  • Cocaine/Crack Cocaine 32.8 ozs (2.05 lbs)
  • Heroin 31.6 ounces (1.975 lbs)
  • Marijuana 8.18 kilos (18 lbs)
  • Methamphetamine 32.66 ozs (2.04 lbs)
  • Asset Forfeiture (Cash) $61,143

  • 76 Search Warrants
  • Cocaine/Crack Cocaine 15.63 ozs.
  • Heroin 5,110 bags (18.025 ozs)
  • Marijuana 121.02 ozs
  • Methamphetamine 8.053 ozs

“The numbers are the numbers,” Chief Harry Snellings said. Snellings declined further comment when asked if the numbers were truly indicative of the increase in drug trafficking throughout the city.
