Jamestown Police Chief Lauds Cooperation From ‘Majority’ Of Community

JAMESTOWN – The city’s top-cop praised the overall response of the community during times of need as his agency battles a criminal element that, at times, prohibits them from closing cases.

“With our tips app and our tips line, we do get a lot of information from our community,” said Jamestown Police Chief Harry Snellings. “As I’ve said before, every little bit helps.”

Snellings urged patience amongst community members who provide information to the police.

“We take a look at everything, and we look to see if it’s applicable to what we are investigating. So, we do get a lot of help from our community,” Snellings said.
