LAKEWOOD – A Jamestown woman allegedly stole more than $1,500 in merchandise from Rue 21 and Old Navy, both located in the Chautauqua Mall, Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lakewood Busti Police Department.
Police said Ashley N. Gorton, 33, stole $1,016.75 in merchandise from Old Navy, and $515.75 from Rue 21. Most of the items reportedly can’t be resold.
In addition, Gorton allegedly possessed a hypodermic needle.
Gordon was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle. She was arraigned in Town of Busti Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
