Jamestown Woman Charged With Possessing Loaded Gun During Traffic Stop

CHARLOTTE – A 27-year-old woman is charged with possessing a loaded handgun during a traffic stop early Tuesday morning, according to the Sheriff’s Office. 
Authorities said that Lindsey Calanni was operating a vehicle that was stopped for speeding on Rt. 60 in the Town of Charlotte shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said Calanni did not have a New York State permit for the gun.
A passenger, identified by police as Nicholas Gaskin, 31, Buffalo, was reportedly in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Calanni was arraigned and remanded to jail on $5,000 bail.
Gaskin was issued an appearance ticket for possession of marijuana.
