Jamestown Woman Discovered With Meth After Vehicle Leaves Road With Child

GERRY- A Jamestown woman was reportedly discovered with methamphetamine Tuesday morning on Rt. 380 after leaving the roadway for an unknown reason with a child in tow according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Janet M. Burnett, 27, a man and a six-year-old were reportedly unharmed after traveling through a cornfield. Burnett and the man were wanted per the report.

Burnett was charged with 7th degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 3rd degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and multiple other traffic violations.

Burnett was remanded to county jail on $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 property bond.
