JPD Chief: Possible “One Pot” Meth Lab Discovered

JAMESTOWN-State and local Police are investigating a possible mobile meth lab in the area of Cherry and 8th Streets, according to Chief Harry Snellings.

Snellings told WNY News Now that the State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT) arrived at the scene shortly before 9:00 pm. today.

The specialized until is called in to respond to events that may present an element of danger like a clandestine lab.

As of 9:15 pm Snellings said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

In the past, Snellings said the number of mobile meth labs is down significantly and that police are seeing more of the “finished product” on the streets.

What Snellinngs is referring to is the quality of the drug which more often than not  more resembles methamphetamine manufactured  in Mexico.
