JPD: Woman’s Purse Used To Assault Officers

JAMESTOWN – A woman reportedly  damaged a car and fought with police as they tried to arrest her Friday. 
The incident was reported as a disorderly person to authorities shortly after 9:00 pm near Foote Avenue and Harrison Street, officers said.
Police allege that Latasha Cooper, 30, jumped on top of a vehicle’s hood and  swung her purse at responding officers who tried to arrest her.
Cooper was booked on felony criminal mischief and other charges.
She was taken to city jail where she is being held without bail.
