Man Accused Of Choking, Punching Girlfriend Numerous Times

JAMESTOWN –  A city man is accused of choking his girlfriend and punching her multiple times  Thursday morning according to the Jamestown Police Department. 

Police say they discovered the woman outdoors in the area of King and Barrows Streets, where she told officers what allegedly happened. The boyfriend, William J. Bean, 34, was located a short time and arrested.

Bean faces charges of 3rd degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, aggravated criminal contempt (due to a stay away order of protection) and aggravated family offense as he was previously convicted within the last five years for a domestic violence incident.

Bean was transported to city jail without incident.
