JAMESTOWN – A 49-year-old Jamestown man is facing a number of charges after police said he assaulted a woman and then chased her down the road near the corner of East Second and Jeffords Streets late Thursday evening.
Police said Michael P. Pachcco held the woman to the ground and struck her in the face with a boot during the attack.
Pachcco then allegedly cut the woman’s hair with a knife and broke her umbrella.
The man was taken into custody. Police said he was in possession of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.
Pachcco is charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct.
