JAMESTOWN – A man was arrested on Thursday night after allegedly trying to fight parents and kids who were reportedly trying to leave Jamestown High School, according to police.
Authorities were dispatched to the school shortly before 10:00 for a report of a disorderly man, according to a media release.
As police were en route to the scene they learned the suspect, 61-year-old city resident, Robert Cavender, left the area.
Police canvassed the area and located Cavender in the 300 block of E. 2nd Street.
The suspect reportedly became uncooperative with police and was taken into custody.
Cavender is charged with 2nd degree obstructing governmental administration.
He’ll be arraigned on Friday in City Court.
