Man Previously Arrested In Violent Incident Charged In Hit-And-Run

KENNEDY-A man previously arrested in a 2015 domestic violence incident was charged Wednesday in a hit-and-run at a private residence according to the New York State Police.

Witnesses told authorities Terence Sweeney, 29, Kennedy, ran his vehicle into another auto before fleeing the scene.

Sweeney was reportedly located at his residence and charged with 4th degree Criminal mischief and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Sweeney will reportedly answer the charges with appearance tickets at a later date in Town of Poland Court.

The Kennedy native was arrested in 2015 after a reported domestic dispute at his residence.

Sweeney was charged in that incident with criminal obstruction of breathing, third degree menacing and second degree harassment.
