Man Reportedly Strikes Residence During Vehicle Pursuit

FINDLEY LAKE – A North East (Pa.) man reportedly struck a Route 430 residence during a vehicle pursuit early Sunday morning, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Pennsylvania State Police reportedly tried to pull over Robert R. Thiem, 29, in North East when he allegedly fled at a high rate of speed. Thiem allegedly tried to hit a PA State Police unit during the pursuit before leaving the roadway and striking the residence.
Thiem, who was reportedly wanted in Pennsylvania, was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He is charged with felony driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree reckless endangerment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, fugitive from justice and various traffic offenses.
Thiem was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
